Anonymous asked: would you be able to explain how to turn on and use proportional editing in blender? I keep trying to figure it out by myself but all of the tutorials I find online are so technical I get really confused and I it seems like I'm following it exactly but then it doesn't work how I want to :( hoping you can help or even just link to a turoial you know of that's a bit easier to understand

hi! so proportional editing is a really amazing tool that can help you edit the shape of the mesh while also moving other verticals around the one you’ve selected.

  1. turn on proportional editing (u can also use the hotkey “tab” to go in and out of edit mode & the hotkey “o” to enable and disable proportional editing)

  1. select a vertical and hit “G” and use your mouse scroll to set the size of the area (u will need to play around with the size to your liking)

  2. move your vertical and the other verticals shall follow
